Rancho Palos Verdes City and Harbor View with Snow-Capped Mountains The weather has not been especially conducive to showing houses or holding an open house, but Mother Nature's rain and cold weather have not cooled the real estate market for single-family homes in Rancho Palos Verdes. The Palos Verdes Estates single-family real estate market returned to a seller's market this month. There are 39 single-family homes for sale in PVE, 16 are in escrow, and three Palos Verdes Estates homes sold thus far in 2019. Palos Verdes single family homes inventory is hovering around 150 homes for sale. Last year the number was closer to 200 single family homes for sale at any given time. The lower supply of homes and the continued demand by buyers creates a market tipped toward sellers. Perhaps there will be an uptick in listings as the spring market nears, but for now, the PVE real estate market shows no signs of flipping into a market favoring buyers. Inventory declined, and pending sales increased in Rolling Hills Estates and the Palos Verdes Peninsula neighborhoods last month. The January sales statistics reveal these areas have moved back toward a market favoring sellers.
