There’s so much to love about the Palos Verdes Peninsula. I clearly remember the first time I visited Palos Verdes. I was here on a house-hunting trip, a reluctant buyer, making a move I did not want to make. I was happily ensconced in my 1929 lovingly restored home, a block from Tampa Bay, and my four children were thriving at one of Florida’s best private schools. However, as a corporate wife, career called, and off we went to Los Angeles.
Miraculously, after several disappointing attempts to find the perfect location for my family, Palos Verdes was suggested as a potential contender. That was in 1989. I now believe in love at first sight!
The local real estate market is supported by the Palos Verdes Peninsula’s spectacular views, outstanding public and private schools, and a wide variety of housing, from condos to country estates. It feels and lives far removed from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. And I love that!
Here’s a snapshot of the current real estate statistics for mid-February 2026:
There are 105 Single-Family Residences for sale on the entire Palos Verdes Peninsula. Maybe one is right for you!
42 Single-Family Homes are in escrow with accepted offers. Those numbers indicate the local PV market has a strong absorption rate.
The best “Buying Opportunity” is the luxury market priced at $5,000,000 or more. With 32 Single-Family Residences for sale, and only four sold year-to-date, the luxury market is a buyer’s paradise.
If 2026 is your year to make a move, whether selling or buying, and you’re considering the Palos Verdes Peninsula, I’d love to be your guide, though I must warn you, I’m more than a little biased, or perhaps I should say experienced. I’ve shown thousands of homes throughout Greater Los Angeles, and I’m always happy to return to Palos Verdes. It’s a wonderful place to call “HOME.”
