The global situation in 2026 is too large to tackle, so let's discuss what's happening on our peninsula, in our towns, and in our backyards. The real estate market experienced a few rumbles of its own, with buyers pushing the pause button and sellers facing more days on market than expected. It was a year of changing market conditions. There are currently 84 single-family homes for sale on the entire Palos Verdes Peninsula. 33 single-family homes are in escrow with accepted offers, and 551 single-family homes were sold on the Palos Verdes Peninsula during 2025.  Those numbers reflect PV real estate conditions that still favor sellers, but buyers have more negotiating power than in recent years. A complete marketing plan involves much more than a sign in the front yard.   Those last century real estate marketing expectations of sticking a sign in the ground, posting a few photos on the Multiple Listing Service, and holding an open house or two, do not suffice in the digital marketing age.  A savvy agent will still make those old school marketing moves for her clients. Also, her marketing repertoire must include a social media blitz, and videos featuring the best assets of a seller's property. Inventory continues to show a slight increase, however, demand remains strong thus keeping the overall real estate market tilted slightly in favor of sellers. Palos Verdes Real Estate Update–April 2016

The good news is inventory is up, and there's more good news--Palos Verdes homes are selling like hotcakes as we enter the spring selling season. There are currently 180 single family homes for sale on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Only 15 of those properties are priced below $1,000,000. The least expensive home for sale in all of PV is priced at $679,000 and located in the Eastview neighborhood of Rancho Palos Verdes. Seven Palos Verdes properties are priced above $10,000,000 with $53,000,000 for a Rolling Hills residence topping the list. 120 Palos Verdes single family residences are in escrow.
