    Hot weather, firecrackers and sky-high temperatures have not taken the sizzle out of the local Palos Verdes real estate market. Although inventory is up slightly with 219 single family homes for sale, the market is firmly embedded in a still strong seller's market. 87 Palos Verdes single family homes are in escrow with accepted offers, and 342 residences have sold year-to-date in Palos Verdes.   Palos Verdes real estate snapshots by the city: Palos Verdes luxury home snapshot ($3mm+): Both the luxury market and Rolling Hills have increased inventory and sluggish sales. Rolling Hills experienced a mini-surge in new listings during the past few weeks. The new listings coupled with only three homes in escrow with accepted offers pushed the Rolling Hills market into a strong buyer's market. This may be a temporary imbalance due to the high number of listings during the summer selling season, and buyers may absorb the new inventory, but we'll have to wait and see. Meanwhile, now is an excellent time to be a buyer if you're in the market to buy a Rolling Hills home. There are 37 homes for sale in Rolling Hills. Portuguese Bend Beach in Rancho Palos Verdes The inventory of Palos Verdes single-family homes for sale is up slightly since last month's report, but the number of pending sales (100) remains the same. Given the increase in homes for sales the market temperature cooler slightly.  However, the overall real estate market in Palos Verdes remains a seller's market. There are 199 single-family homes for sale on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. 100 Palos Verdes homes are in escrow with accepted offers and 266 PV single-family residences have sold year-to-date. Seven RHE and PVP single-family properties are in escrow with accepted offers. 20 Rolling Hills Estates and Palos Verdes Peninsula single-family residences have sold year-to-date.   There was a slight increase in inventory from the April stats, thus moving The Yellow Dot to a more lukewarm seller's market.
