The Palos Verdes housing market is languishing a bit during these dog days of summer. My Little Yellow Dot market indicator shows the overall PV real estate market for single-family homes is softening. As a result, the market is moving toward a neutral market, favoring neither the seller nor the buyer. What does this mean for prospective sellers and buyers? Sellers can expect more competition as inventory increases, and buyers will have more choices and negotiating power as the number of available homes expands. There are 271 single-family homes currently for sale. 91 PV homes are in escrow with accepted offers, and 370 Palos Verdes Peninsula single-family properties have sold thus far in 2019.
